Despite its quiet electric motor, the small vehicle demonstrated V8-style acceleration, reaching 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds even with two people onboard on a wet track. While traveling down the circuit's back straight, the car hit an indicated 110mph (177km/h), just under its electronically capped top speed of 200km/h. Although new plug-in electric cars are about to hit the Australian market, the previous models were slow to recharge, had limited range, and were often sluggish and peculiar looking.
