About e-Golf

The 2016 Volkswagen e-Golf appears to be identical to the rest of the Golf series from the exterior. To distinguish the electric vehicle, the only real distinguishing elements are a shuttered grille and some unique wheel and LED lighting treatments. The e-Golf has the same load capacity as the normal four-door Golf since its lithium-ion battery pack is hidden beneath the front and rear seats. The low-slung battery array also helps the e-Golf retain the same superb handling characteristics as the standard vehicles, and its highway ride is superior and quieter, in our opinion. EV acceleration is competitive, and range varies depending on driving style, but expect to travel between 80 and 100 miles on a single charge.
